This beautiful vintage Japanese Satsuma incense burner dates to around the 1920s and showcases the intricate artistry Satsuma pieces are known for.

Hand-painted in rich brown, red, and green tones with gold accents, this piece also features traditional moriage detailing (raised slip decoration) that adds texture and depth. The reticulated dome lid allows incense smoke to gently escape, creating a soft, atmospheric effect when in use.

Marked “Made in Japan” on the bottom, this is a lovely and collectible example of early 20th-century Japanese porcelain.
