This is a vintage mid-20th century J.R. Watkins Liniment bottle in the 11 fluid ounce size. A wonderful piece of American advertising history, this clear glass bottle retains its original front and back paper labels.
Produced by The J.R. Watkins Company of Winona, Minnesota, with additional branches in Newark, New Jersey; Memphis, Tennessee; and Oakland, California, this liniment was marketed for both human and animal use. The label lists active ingredients including camphor, capsaicin, and 47% alcohol, and promotes relief for minor muscular aches, pains, strains, and neuralgia.
The bottle features classic apothecary styling and bold vintage typography, making it a fantastic display piece for a farmhouse kitchen, primitive cabinet, country store collection, or medical memorabilia display. Perfect as a prop for photography, stage design, or vintage-inspired décor.
Condition: Please see photos for label wear consistent with age. A great collectible with authentic vintage character. No cracks or chips in the bottle. Original labels and screw top attached.
A charming addition to any antique bottle collection or rustic display.
