Vintage Currier & Ives Winter Plate, Museum of the City of NY

This plate depicts how life was in the late 1800's in the winter.An old farmstead covered in snow and a traveler coming to greet.
The Currier and Ives collections really bring these times in rural America to life.
This plate is 10 3/4" and in mint condition. There is one small chip on the underside rim. Other than that, there are no chips or cracks or crazing.
The scene is in the center of the plate with a wide white boarder. The border is then trimmed in 6 places with a green scroll design along with Currier and Ives name at the bottom.
The original design and plates are part of the Museum of the City of New York.
Perfect as cabinet plates or wall decor. A beautiful way to celebrate Winter!
