1950s Metlox Poppy Trail Happy Time salt and pepper shakers Birds and Flowers

This salt and pepper set has the happiest design and beautiful yellow handles! Little birds and flowers in yellow, green, blue, and pink. Very unique handles as well. They measure 3 3/4" tall and 2" in diameter. The side look they have been 'buttoned up' with little white dots and a "seam".

The Metlox Poppy Trail Happy Time salt and pepper shakers were produced by Metlox Pottery in California, USA. The "Happy Time" pattern was introduced in 1957. The company was founded in 1921 and had a few name changes before settling on Metlox in 1934. Metlox discontinued production in 1989.

These are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks or crazing. There is one small cihp on the bottom of one shaker. Barely noticeable, Please see all photos. The pepper shaker has two holes and the salt shaker has three holes at the top. Both corks are included, but one is stuck inside the shaker.
