Antique Kirchen Gelangbuch Evangelisch Lutherisch Gemeinden German Lutheran Prayer/Hymnal 1900

This is such a beautiful piece of American-German religious history.

This is a mini hymnal/prayer book used a member of the German-American Evangelical Lutheran Congregation. It is bound in leather with gold embossing on front and back covers. This book is entirely in German using the old blackletter fraktur font, which is still customary in some German American religious communities today. It was gifted in 1900 (as shown on the embossing on the cover) to someone named Maria F. Scheiderer. Book is in good antique condition for its age with some wear and tear on the edges of the leather cover and some pencil scribbles inside the cover. This is a mini pocket hymnal and measures just 5.25 x 3.5".

A little religious card was in the book of Regina Virginum. Regina Virginum is a Society of Apostolic Life formed by a group of members of the women's branch of the Heralds of the Gospel. A little added bonus to this precious book.
