These textiles are very very rare, handwoven overshot sample from Europe.~ each has the most wonderful pattern! Each side is gorgeous!! It dates from the 1800's but I can't pinpoint the decade ~Most likely as a way for the weaver to show the patterns that she / he were capable of weaving, the customer could then place the order for the full size blanket. This textile is worthy of any museum in the world, it's a European treasure. I was offered collection of these lovely textiles and there are 7 in this set.
